Best Sightings

Here are is a list of my best sightings from over the years (In no order)

1. Pectoral Sandpiper Cumbria.
I was staying up with my auntie in Kendal Cumbria when I herd that just outside Kendal on some flooded fields was a Juvenile Pectoral sandpiper. Pectoral sandpipers, especially Juveniles are among my most favourite waders so I went to have a look. Eventually a few local twitchers/birders put me onto the bird and invited me to go and have a closer look. And I did. The closest I was from the bird was 3m because at one stage the bird walked right up to me. I got some great photos and a great view and best of all it was a lifer and I had finally seen one of my most favourite birds, even though it involved a twitch.
